The NGO Committee on Ageing is promoting the three priorities of the Madrid International Action Plan on Ageing – participation of older people in all relevant politics and awareness raising; advancing health and wellbeing into old age; and ensuring enabling and supportive environments.
The Committee’s main focus is laid on the “universal design”/”design for all”/”inclusive design” concept to increase implementation of accessibility within all premises, buildings and living homes, but also in accessible public transport, products and services to meet the needs and requirements of the ageing society and families in connection with the diversities during the whole life cycle from young to old age.
