The Gerontological Society of America’s National Adult Vaccination Program seeks to improve immunization rates in older adults. The four objectives of the program include 1) diffusing evidence-based information via newsletter and website, 2) nurturing partnerships that complement NAVP’s work, for example by serving on the Steering Committees for AVAC and NAIIS, 3) supporting those making change to improve adult immunization rates through the Immunization Champions, Advocates, and Mentors Program, and 4) driving sustainable solutions to gaps in knowledge and practice, for example by convening stakeholders to create a prioritized list of actions to improve vaccination rates in long-term care.
